Addressing Lack of Visibility

FieldVision by DTSI is a mobile application designed for property managers and field service providers to solve the problems that each face every day in the course of their work. Property owners and managers need a way to track and verify that the field service crews are performing the work required and that the work was done well. Crews that go out into the field to perform work need a means of tracking that work and also proving to the client that the work has been done satisfactorily.

One of the biggest problems for property managers, field service providers and their clients is the lack of visibility into the status of work scheduled and completed. Companies providing the services do not know exactly when services are completed and customers are not notified when services are completed. This is particularly true of snow removal operations whereby the customer or property manager often resort to calling the service provider to ask whether a property has been serviced or not and when the next service is scheduled. This problem is greatly magnified for people who manage a large portfolio of properties with many service providers.

Existing Solutions Drawbacks

There are many ways property managers and service providers use technology to improve their operations but existing solutions still have many drawbacks:

  • Most work order management systems are prohibitively expensive and require substantial IT staff support

  • Email and text messaging are not a good ways to manage workflow and if you send pictures the whole process can quickly become unmanageable

  • Telephone calls often get forgotten and require some additional manual process to record the results of the call

  • IVR systems can be very slow and cumbersome and are very challenging for field staff and especially for crews where English is a second language

  • Existing mobile applications are vertically integrated into a single organization. Therefore, service providers working for multiple organizations must use a different applications for each customer. This is a nightmare for staff and crews.

  • Existing solutions are generally not designed to benefit both the property manager and service provider, they are designed for the benefit of one party or the other

Solving These Problems

FieldVision solves all of these problems. FieldVision gives property managers and field service providers the ability to assign work to field crews and to illustrate the work requirements with pictures and video. It enables the field crews to update the work order with pictures and video so that property managers, field supervisors and customers can visually inspect the work that was completed as required. FieldVision has the most powerful reporting features you will find in a mobile app. A property manager, with one property or hundreds of properties, can see the status of all of their properties and work orders at a glance. A field service provider can accept work from any property manager or organization from the same mobile app.

In a Class of its Own

There are many work order systems in the marketplace but none like FieldVision. FieldVision is more than a work order system, it is a collaboration tool that can be used by corporate facility managers, commercial and residential property managers, and field service providers in any field (janitorial, landscape maintenance, snow removal or any other field).

Whether your company has an existing system or not, I encourage you to take a look at FieldVision. For most users the application is free. For all others it is the most affordable mobile work order app on the market.

Please contact me if you have any questions. I'll be happy to give you a personal demonstration and show you how FieldVision can work for you.
